A world record attempt to celebrate our 21st Birthday

Stone the Crows come of age in September and to celebrate we are organising a weekend of fun and dancing. The highlight has got to be an attempt to smash a world record in Preston City centre on Saturday 5th September.

‘the greatest number of people simultaneously performing the same Morris dance at a single venue’

The record is for ‘the greatest number of people simultaneously performing the same Morris dance at a single venue’ and the record currently stands at 88.

We have invited Morris Dancers from around the country to join us and hope to break the record in front of a crowd in the city’s Flag Market.

Timed to start at 3.30 in the afternoon, the City’s Mayor will launch the attempt which must last for over 5 minutes. Please come along and join the fun which will be the highlight of a ‘Day of Dance’ across the city starting at 11am.

If you can’t make it to Preston on the Saturday then do try and join us on the Sunday 6th September when we will be joined by our guests in our home town of Leyland.

We will be performing at the Commercial Vehicle Museum in the morning and then in Worden park in the afternoon.

We are looking forward to an action packed weekend so do join us- after all, you are only 21 once!
